Blue Sand Play

Introducing ANYTHING new to sand play, helps to give children a different experience in something that I’m sure they play almost every day!
Sand play is great for so many different areas- Creative, Physical and PSE!
In our indoor sand pit, we’ve added blue sand and blue glitter (in line with our under the sea topic)! We’ve added shells, small funnels and pots to fill and dump, a rake and a few small world sea animals!
It’s simple, but effective!
It’s great to see the kids use objects in different ways, by not adding any spades, the kids got creative and used a flat wooden fish and the shells to scoop up the sand-
just as we planned ;)-

You can dye play sand with blue paint - it needs a few days to dry out, but it works a treat!
