chalk train tracks

We drew a very long and curvy train tracks outside around the garden today with chalk!
It was a great way for the kids to play with “old” toys, move around and explore their outside area in a different way!

We went over, down and across- creating different obstacles for the kids to negotiate their trains and cars over.

One of the little boys wanted a tunnel so we cut open an old cardboard box = instant tunnel!!

The kids could come and go as the pleased and there was no arguing about someone breaking the track!! This was a great way to encourage- gross motor skills, creativity and imagination & a great way to play outside!!
Get BIG chalk for the kids to use - the little ones disappear in no time at all!
