Easy DIY - Bug Hunt!

I'm not sure who loved this activity more- us or our little monsters! We printed out flash cards (Get yours from SparkleBox) of different minibeasts, lamented them and sent our little monsters out explore the garden- searching for different kinds of bugs, beasts and birds!
They did find a few real bugs, which they matched correctly to the flash card, but then (I think) the real magic started to happen: On their own accord, our little monsters started to come back with random objects and telling us what they had found: "Look, I found a ladybird!" a little girl said as she showed us a pink ball! It was great to see them use their imaginations and be creative, when they couldn’t find the specific minibeast they were looking for!
This is a easy and great activity to do over and over again out in the garden throughout the seasons, with your little monsters. It gets them involved with the world around them, explore literacy and being creative!

Getting a laminator is a must (we think) - They're affordable and come in hand for loads of indoor and outdoor projects!
